Sika 1 Waterproofer is a A liquid additive designed to prevent the passage of water through sand or cement renders, screeds and mortar. It is ideal for tanking or for use in basements. The solution is immediately effective and is designed to swell and block the pores in the mixture providing an effective water resistant barrier.

Sika 1 is used to waterproof mortars and concrete in renders, masonry, screeds and substrates. Sika 1 can be used in reinforced, or unreinforced concrete and can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications such as brickwork, basements, swimming pools, tunnels, water tanks, manholes and culverts. It is suitable for use both below and above ground.
